(Penny Lane)
In Rehab Lane, there is a place that we’ve all come to know
Where the folks all come to detox and dry out you know
And in the corner is a Counselor with an open ear
Stop and say hello
In one room is a nurse is handing out valium
And the clients are all taken aback
And the nurse always has a tray of coloured pills
Cure Your ills
Rehab Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies
We all face our demise
Rehab Lane, there is a room full of plastic chairs
And in his office is a doctor with a knowing grin
He see him and he counsels everyday
We hear him say
Rehab Lane, is in my ears and in my eyes
There is a lot of sighs
In summer, meanwhile back
Rehab Lane is full of folks who have their own sad tales
There is a man who lost it all to booze
And though he feels as if he has to choose
He just can’t lose
In Rehab Lane, there is a man who says he's seen it all
And all the while, he wipes his eyes
Behind the counter the nurse always gives a smile
Helping folks face their trials
Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies
I sit and watch the world go by.
Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies
